Current polling data suggests that the two candidates are in a statistical tie. Hence, this race is considered a toss-up one. The latest polling data is shown below in the graphs
In the first graph, it can be seen that Montana has very strong Republican affiliation in this race. In the second graph, in all of the polls from 4 different sources, there is a small margin of difference in which Steve Daines leads everywhere.
